THE ARCHITECT
Foad Rafii is one of North America's most influential architects; he stands as far above most of his colleagues as point towers do above ordinary buildings. The Vancouver architect was educated at the University of Tehran and pursues post-graduate work at Harvard. Rafii both designs and defines. The clean, classic lines of his buildings transform and distinguish their environment. A pioneer of the point tower as an urban-planning tool, Rafii is largely responsible for the distinctive look of Vancouver's modern cityscape.
